• Be aware that you cannot be tattooed with a sunburn or freshly tanned skin.
• Any kind of injections  should be performed 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the procedure. Preferably after.
• No chemical peels 30 days prior and you must wait 30 days after (avoiding the brow area is recommended).
• Be aware that frequent chemical peels will make your brows fade quicker. 
• Retinols and other anti-aging creams or serums containing acids WILL fade your permanent makeup prematurely.  Please keep all potions away from the procedure area. 
• You must be OFF all Retinoids 30 days prior to your appointment. If not, the area will bleed and pigment will not heal properly.
• If you bleach  your eyebrows, it is not a good idea to have this procedure done.  The chemicals WILL bleach the hair & the pigment as well. 
• If you have had Permanent Makeup previously done in the area of procedure, and fail to tell us, we WILL be required to refuse service and your deposit will be forfeited. 
• If a client has undergone laser removal of the eyebrows, please note that there is now more scar tissue in the affected area.  This can cause the pigment to fade prematurely or look blurry.  There is also a chance that the area may be resistant to pigment uptake and may take more than one touch up. 
• If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin of any kind, bruises or other skin imperfections IN or AROUND the area of the procedure, we WILL NOT be able to do the procedure until the blemish or area of concern are completely healed.
• If you show up to the appointment and there is an area of concern, you will be rescheduled to the next available appointment (typically months out) and forfeit your deposit for the appointment time lost.  A new deposit will be required to reschedule.

• Have eyebrow hair transplants
• Eczema or Dermatitis in or around the eyebrows  (Chronic shedding, bumps, redness, irritation or flaking of the skin in the eyebrow area)
• Any type of organ transplant that requires anti-rejection medications
• MRSA-Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus
• Severely Oily Skin is an exception with powder-fill. (Pigment will look more powdered and will fade more quickly )
• Have Thyroid/Graves disease is an exception with powder-fill. (Medications may cause the pigment to turn ashey. Please tell us before booking)
• Super thin/vascular skin
• Alopecia (Due to change in skin & follicles, not all types of Alopecia clients are candidates)
• Sunburned or freshly tanned skin

• Diabetes
• Pregnant or lactating women
• Glaucoma
• Skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the site that is to be treated

• Accutane or steroids (consult with your physician)
• Avoid supplements with blood thinning effects.  Supplements that have blood thinning effects include dong quai, fish oil, garlic, ginger, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, green tea, red clover, and vitamin E and should be discontinued 7 days prior to getting a cosmetic tattoo.  These supplements may increase bleeding especially if you’re taking blood-thinning medications like warfarin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Eyeliner

 If you have had any eye surgery, i.e.; Lasix….Cornea..Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty…..Lens repair….. etc. you will need to wait at least 6 months before I will do permanent makeup on your eyes and a Dr’s note may be requested. If you have tear duct plugs, I do not do the liner procedure. NO EXCEPTIONS.

• If you have extremely Deep-Set eyes I will only do an upper and or lower Lash Enhancement.
• I DO NOT do big eyeliners, or extreme designs. They do not age well with the skin.  
• Skin tone, eye shape and amount of eye tissue will have an effect on your healed outcome. Those used to using a liquid liner or dark black cannot expect a tattooed liner to look the same. A good example is to use a black sharpie pen on your arm. Now take a pair of nylons and pull it over the mark. That is how your skin tone effects your tattooed color. 

• Do wash your hair before your appointment because you can not get your tattoo wet
• Do not take blood thinning medicines at least one day before the treatment 
• Do not eat heavy and spicy food on the day of treatment
• Do not use soliarium and do not sunbath at least 7 days before the treatment
• Do not perform mesotherapy, biorevitalisation, acid facial peeling, facial cleansers, facial laser hair removal, laser removal of capillaries at least 1 month before the treatment
• Do not tint eyebrows and come natural as possible (no waxing recommended to see full shape; also avoid skin irritation); but you may fill-in your desire shape and color so we can have an idea of the look you want to achieve 
• All tweezing, waxing, or eyebrow and eyelash tinting should be done 12 days prior to procedure. Wait 2 weeks after procedure to tweeze or wax and 4 weeks to tint eyebrows or eyelashes.
• If you got botox injections, you should wait at least 1 month before the treatment
• Avoid alcohol and caffeine the day before & prior to the procedure, this will minimize any oozing/bleeding or swelling after the procedure.
  Smoking WILL cause the pigment to fade prematurely and anesthetics will not last as long.
• Getting a procedure while on your menstrual cycle can make you hyper-sensitive at the procedure site 
• Do NOT take Aspirin, Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 1 WEEK prior to your procedure. If medically necessary than 2 days before treatment. 

Before Your Lip Blush Appointment

We recommend the following to ensure that your skin is in the best condition as possible for the procedure:

• If your appointment is during a cold sore outbreak, your procedure cannot be performed. If you do not have cold sores, it is still highly recommended for you to go to your family doctor and get Zovirax or another anti viral medication prescribed to take 5 days prior procedure, the day of, and 5 days after as a precaution. Cold sores is herpes simplex virus and many are not aware that they are a carrier of the virus as the signs are not always visible until it is triggered. Lip blush can trigger cold sores if you are a carrier of this virus therefore as a precaution, it is recommended that you take anti viral mediation as cold sores can affect the healing result. If you’re not able to get the anti viral medication then you can purchase over the counter Lysine. One week prior to your appointment, you must take L-Lysine 1000mg. You will continue taking this supplement until one week after your appointment.
• Do not get lip injections 4 weeks before and after this treatment.
• Do NOT drink coffee or any caffeine on the day of the procedure
• Do NOT drink alcohol 24 hours before the procedure
• Do NOT workout on the day of the procedure
• Do NOT consume Advil, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen, fish oil supplements, omega-3, unless medically necessary or any blood thinning mediation for a minimum of 72 hours prior to the procedure. (Tylenol or acetaminophen is okay)
• Exfoliators, creams containing Glycolic Acid, Retinols, Renova, and Alpha Hydroxyls Acid (AHAs) at least 72 hours before the procedure
• Chemical peels and laser treatments should be avoided within 4 weeks of the procedure
• If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least 1 year before considering this procedure.
• Please do exfoliate your lips really well two days before your appointment and keep them very moisturized so that you can get the best result, please don’t pick, bite at your lips. We will not be able to work on open skin. You can use sugar mixed in with olive oil and exfoliate your lips then keep aquaphor on them to keep your lips moisturized for 2 days up until your appointment.

• Please bring eyeglasses if you wear contact lenses to all EYELINER appointments! You must wear glasses for 5 days after an Eyeliner procedure. Then you can wear contact lenses. Lenses must be new or clean!
•  If you have an appointment for eyeliner please come in with absolutely no mascara. Make sure eyes are clean and free of any mascara residue. It is advised to use new mascara after healing to ensure no risk of a secondary infection. 
•  If you have an Ipod with some favorite music, listening has been known to help clients relax during their procedure. 
• Antihistamines like Benedryl taken before the procedure may reduce swelling and help you relax.  Benedryl also helps eyes not be so watery during eyeliner procedures. Watery eyes can dilute the pigment that is being implanted.
  
  • It is recommended to eat something before your appointment to make sure your blood sugar levels stay stable during the procedure.
  • No excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption 24 hours before your procedure. Alcohol and caffeine can thin the blood, which causes the skin to be hypersensitive, and bleed/bruise more easily.
  •YOU CANNOT HAVE A TAN 30 DAYS BEFORE & ABSOLUTELY NO SUN 30 DAYS AFTER (This means you cannot go out in sun with a hat and glasses on) this means no SUN or HEAT FOR 30 AFTER at all. If you resume tanning, the results will fade quickly, heal darker, fade super fast or not retain at all. We will not see you any sooner than your routine scheduled appt. If you ruin the results by going out in the sun too soon, we may not be able to work on you in the future.
  • Avoid blood thinning medications for 24 hours before the procedure. This includes Aspirin,Niacin (Vitamin B3), Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen, fish oils tablets. Please consult your
  physician if this is an issue.
  • Eyelash extensions should be removed 1 week prior to the procedure.
  • No eyelash perm and/or tinting at least 1 week prior.
  • Discontinue Retin-A 3 weeks prior to the procedure. Do not get microdermabrasion, microneedling, facials or any type of exfoliation on skin or if you’ve been rubbing your eyes. 
  • No Botox around the eye area 1 month prior.
  • Eyelash growth serums like Latisse bring extra circulation to the lash line area which results in more growth of hair/lashes. This can cause the skin to be hypersensitive and bleed easily. It is recommended to discontinue the use of these products at least 2 months before your treatment.
  • Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. 
  Please get plenty of rest and sleep before coming to your appointment to avoid eyes being hypersensitive. We cannot implant ink when your eyes are tired or sensitive. 
  If pre-care haven’t been followed, it will caused pain and you will not have good results. 
  *Precare and aftercare is needed for best results therefore we will not be responsible if pigment didn’t take or patchy results due to not following precare and aftercare. 
  If you follow our instructions there’s nothing to worry about and the outcome will be amazing!

• DAY 1:
  • Please wash hands with antibacterial soap before you attempt to clean your eyebrows. Then use cotton ball to gently wipe your eyebrows every 1-2 hours. Do this 2-4 times today to avoid any build-up of blood/lymph on the area.
  • Pat dry with a tissue than apply a very thin layer of the Skin Candy. This is just to add a small amount of moisture-brows should not appear greasy, glossy or shiny, if they do, you used too much.
  • Do not use aggressive movement/manipulation of the skin-be gentle.
• DAY 2-7:
  • Keep eyebrows lightly glossed with the Skin Candy for three to four times a day for the next 7 days. Do not over use ointment. It should last you for 7 days, only apply very thin layer. Do not suffocate your eyebrows.
  • Do not use any Retinols, Glycolic Acids, Peroxide, Neosporin while healing
  • Do not scrub or pick your eyebrows.
  • Do not expose area to sun or tanning beds! Must use hat if in the sun.
  • Avoid any facials ,swimming, whirlpools or sauna for 7 days.
  • Do not exercise the first 3-5 days. No heavy sweating !
  • No make-up on the eyebrows!
  • Do not tint eyebrows for the next 20 days.

• Clean contacts can be worn 72 hrs after the procedure. You cannot use Saline to wet the eyes. Only Sterile Water…check that the wash is NOT SALINE..it will fade the liner out instantly. 
• No mascara for 1 week after the procedure. 
• It is recommended to buy a new tube of mascara to use after the procedure to reduce the risk of infection.
• DO NOT USE oily makeup remover, baby oil, mineral oil or heavy creams, especially glycolics around the eyes.
• Eyeliner can and will have some residual pigment that may peel or flake off after a couple days(in most cases)..that is ok..eyeliner tends to fade more so than brows due to the moisture in the eye area. After the touch up the color stays better and lasts longer….Eyeliner can take 2-3 procedures.
• DO Not get get them wet but do keep them them clean 

• Day 1-3 The eyebrows are approximately 30--50% darker and bolder in width than they will be healed. Your skin is red (irritated) under the pigment, and the pigment is oxidizing which causes the color of the pigment to appear darker and warmer. There is some swelling, although difficult to actually see due to the thickness of the skin in the eyebrow area. This will subside. Exfoliation, which begins in a few days, will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow to flake away and a more narrow appearance will result. New skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in a softer appearance of your eyebrows. Don't be concerned that your eyebrows initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire. This is part of the process.
•  Day 4-8 Eyebrows start to itch and will appear thicker in texture. This is normal. Exfoliation begins. The skin begins to flake, peeling from the outside edges first. Some will peel faster, others slower. Right after the exfoliation happens, it may appear that there is very light to no color. The skin may appear pink. This is all normal. New skin is growing over the area and within days the color will blossom. 
• Day 9-13 Some can expect residual flaking depending on your skin type. You will start to see the color blossom and see the healed color result 

• Day 1-2 Swelling, tender, thick lipstick appearance. You may experience discomfort in the lip area.
• Day 2- 3 Less swelling, pigment appears thicker in texture, sore, hot feeling before exfoliation. Feels like a mild sunburn. Exfoliation-very chapped lips
•  Day 3- 4 Very chapped lips but almost finished with first chapping stage.
•  Day 5 You will begin to see a soft version of the color.
•  Day 6-13 Lip color lightens and a “frosty” stage begins. (This is the second chapping process). There may appear to be a whitish, grayish haze over the lip tissue. This will continue through day 13.
•  Day 14-45 The healing is completed. The new color will continue to bloom up to 5 weeks. Although you will continue to see changes based on your body temperature, the color you see now can be consider your permanent makeup color. Lips may remain dry for a month or two. Use a good lip balm and sunscreen and they will soon return to normal, but with a soft noticeable color. Lip color in the skin is enhanced by the light’s reflection of the lip balms or clear ointments applied to the lips. 

• Day 1 Probable slight swelling. This is dependent upon the amount of histamines in each client's body. Normally you will appear as if you have been crying or have allergies. The eyeliner appears darker and thicker than it will be in a few days.
•  Day 2 The morning of day 2 is normally the morning the swelling will peak. Plan on resting and applying ice over a clean barrier to the eyes to reduce the swelling if needed. The darker and thicker appearance continues.
•  Day 3-4 Less swelling, however the eye tissue feels tight and somewhat drawn. Exfoliation begins. Some feeling of pinching and itching is quite normal. The pigment is dehydrating under the eye tissue and exfoliation continues.
•  Day 5-10 The color of your eyeliner may appear somewhat grayish and lighter, however the color will clarify in a few days.
• Day ll-30 The pigment has dehydrated in the skin and exfoliated. The eyeliner design appears thinner and lighter than on day one. Note: It is NOT normal to feel pain IN the eye or to develop a strong sensitivity to light or to experience excessive tearing. These are rare abnormal signs of eye irritation that require medical advice, and you should immediately contact your family physician or eye doctor. Some eyelash loss may occur. It is the normal weekly loss that occurs and is more noticeable because of our attention on the eye area after permanent makeup. They will grow back as normal.
• NOTE: My work is only as good as the canvas I have to work on. If your skin is sun damaged, thick and uneven in texture, excessively dry or oily, the result cannot be exactly the same for each person. Scars on lips from fever blisters cause pigment removal. Medications, smoking, metabolism, facial surgery, age of skin, and lifestyle all contribute to fading. However, color refreshers are needed to ensure the best result and to keep your permanent cosmetics looking the best. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. 

• No use maquillaje impermeable para cejas durante 2 días antes de su tratamiento.
